ip vrrp address
Use the ip vrrp address command to assign an IP address to the virtual
router. The no form of this command removes an IP address from a virtual router.
Note: This command is executed from the Fast Ethernet and FabricFastEthernet
interfaces.
Syntax
[no] ip vrrp <vr-id> address <ip-address>
Parameters
Example
To assign address 10.0.1.2 to virtual router 1:
X330WAN-2DS1-1(configure)# ip vrrp 1 address 10.0.1.2
ip vrrp auth-key
Use the ip vrrp auth-key command to set the virtual router simple password
authentication for the virtual router ID. The no form of this command disables
simple password authentication for the virtual router instance.
Note: This command is executed from the Fast Ethernet and FabricFastEthernet
interfaces.
Syntax
[no] ip vrrp <vr-id> auth-key <key-string>
Parameters
Example
ip vrrp 1 primary 192.168.66.23
vr-id
Virtual Router ID, an integer from 1 to 255.
ip-address
The IP address to be assigned to the virtual router.
vr-id
Virtual Router ID, an integer from 1 to 255.
key-string
Simple password string.
