Usage Guidelines
To enable Telnet access to the system for all IP source addresses, use the
telnetenable enable command alone. To enable specific IP addresses, use the
telnetenable enable command followed by the IP addresses.
Example
This command enables Telnet for all IP source addresses:
telnetenable enable
username
To create a new user account or change an account’s properties, use the username
command. Use the no form of the command to remove a user account.
username name password password [privilege {0 | 15}]
no username name
Syntax Description
name Name of the user account to create or remove.
password Specifies a password for the account.
password The password for the account.
privilege (Optional) Specifies the account privilege level.
0 Gives the account level 0 privileges. This is the default.
15 Gives the account level 15 privileges.
