2. In the upper left of the Policy Editor window, click the New Connection icon (the first icon on
the left) to open a new connection. Give the new connection a name; in this example, we are
using ModeConfigTest.
3. Enter the settings as explained in Table 7-17.

Setting Description (or Subfield and Description)
Connection Security Select the Secure radio button. If you want to connect manually only, select the
Only Connect Manually checkbox.
ID Type From the pull-down menu, select IP Subnet.
Subnet Enter the LAN IP subnet address that you specified on the Add Mode Config
Record in the Local IP Address field. If you left the Local IP Address field blank,
enter the UTM’s default IP subnet address. In this example, we are using
192.168.1.0.
Mask Enter the LAN IP subnet mask that you specified on the Add Mode Config
Record in the Local Subnet Mask field. If you left the Local Subnet Mask field
blank, enter the UTM’s default IP subnet mask. In this example, we are using
255.255.255.0.
Protocol From the pull-down menu, select All.
