Replacing the Toner Cassette And the
Cleaning Pad
Printing on A4 size paper under the recommended temperature and hu-
midity conditions noted in the table under “Environment” on page 1, you
can expect a toner cassette to print approximately 3,000 pages when you are
printing typical business letters that have text covering 5% of the total sur-
face. The starter cassette that comes with the machine can print approxi-
mately 1,000 pages. Pages that contain graphics use more toner and shorten
the life of a toner cassette.
WARNING
Do not incinerate used toner or toner containers. Toner dust might ignite when exposed to an
open flame. Dispose of the used toner cassettes according to local regulations for plastics.
This machine has been tested for safety using this supplier’s parts and consumables.
We recommend you only use these specified supplies.
CAUTION
When replacing the toner cassette and cleaning pad,
do not touch the fusing section because it could be
very hot.

Open the box of the new toner cassette
and check to make sure it contains a
toner cassette and cleaning pad.
Note
Be sure to hold the toner cassette by its han-
dle.
