1. Firmware Version 2.80a4 Available in the EMC−approved section of the Emulex website. http://www.emulex.com
2. BIOS 2.02a1 Available in the EMC−approved section of the Emulex website. http://www.emulex.com
3. Driver Version 8.1.10.12−update This in kernel driver is only available on errata kernels equal to or greater than 2.6.16.54−0.2.3. Driver is integrated into the kernel.
4. Driver Version 8.1.10.3 Driver is integrated into the kernel.
5. BIOS 4.00a1 Available in the EMC−approved section of the Emulex website. http://www.emulex.com EFI Boot code. Boot support for 64−Bit servers can be accomplished in two
ways depending on your server. If your server does not have support for Legacy Option ROMs that use INT 13 for external boot, then an EFI boot driver must be used instead. Refer
to your server documentation as to whether your server supports Legacy Option ROM loading.
6. SNIA HBA API Supported.
7. Booting from the SAN with PowerPath is supported. Refer to the Path Management Software section for supported versions of PowerPath.
8. Virtual machines running on VMWare ESX are supported booting from the array.
9. VMWare ESX Server itself is supported booting from external array.
10. PowerPath is not supported.
11. Supported kernels: 2.6.16.46−0.12, 2.6.16.46−0.14, 2.6.16.53−0.8, 2.6.16.53−0.16, 2.6.16.54−0.2.3, 2.6.16.54−0.2.5, 2.6.16.54−0.2.8. Confirm kernel support with server vendor.
12. SGI's XFS filesystem is also supported for this configuration. Files that are part of the released distribution of the operating system (e.g. /, /etc, /usr, /opt, etc) must not reside on an
XFS filesystem. XFS is supported on non−operating system data only.
13. The LVM included as part of this update is supported and can be used in conjunction with PowerPath emcpower pseudo device file names as well as native sd device file names.
14. EMC supports the following filesystems: ext2, ext3, reiserfs unless otherwise noted in the ESM. If there is a customer requirement for a different filesystem, please submit an RPQ.
15. Limited to 64 sockets maximum. Larger configurations require RPQs and confirmation of support from SGI.
