6-2. Replacing FILTER
[FILTER EXCHANGE] will be displayed on the control
panel 6 months after the last replacement or after
10,000 prints.
Follow the procedure below to replace the FILTER.
(1) Touch [FILTER EXCHANGE] on the control panel.
The procedure for replacing the FILTER appears on the control
panel.
(2) Open the FILTER cover upward.
(3)
Hold the handle of the FILTER and lift it slightly.
Note that the FILTER is placed in the lower position.
(4) Pull out the FILTER.
(5)
Insert a new FILTER to the back.
(6) Lower the FILTER into the specified position.
(7) Close the FILTER cover.
CAUTION
Before replacing the FILTER, be sure to touch [FIL-
TER EXCHANGE].
Caution on High Temperatures
The temperature around the FILTER may reach
60 °C (140 °F) or over. So, be very careful of han-
dling it.
CAUTION
The device has the sensor to detect the pres-
ence/absence of the FILTER. If the FILTER fails
to be lowered into the specified place, the instal-
lation of the FILTER is not detected.
