5.3 Error message displayed
When a problem occurs with the FK-502, the following error messages are
displayed in the screen. Take corrective actions by referring to the explana-
tion. If the document still cannot be sent properly even after attempting to
correct the problem, please contact your service representative.
Error message Corrective action
NG An error has occurred during transmission. Although redialing
was attempted, the document was still unable to be sent.
Resend the document after checking TX result report.
NG Polling transmission was unable to be performed even though
polling instructions were received from a destination. Is the ma-
chine ready for polling transmission? If it is not, store the original
in memory by referring to “Polled transmission” on page 9-4.
Busy Although the set number of redials were attempted, the receiving
machine was busy. Resend after confirming the status of the re-
ceiving machine.
No answer This indicates a state in which the machine is unable to receive.
Telephone the receiving destination, confirm the status and then
try resending the document.
NG An error has occurred during reception and the document was
unable to be received. Ask the sender to send the document
again.
Memory full • When the memory becomes full reading the document:
To transmit the document which was read, press the [Start] or
press the [Stop] to discontinue the transmission.
