6. Gently lift out the CPU.

Installing the CPU
To install the CPU, follow the steps below.
CAUTION: If you remove the heat sink, you should use the CPU grease tool to remove
the grease on the CPU and heat sink. Reapply fresh grease before installing the heat sink.
1. Make sure that the notch on the cam is aligned with the open position.

2. Seat the CPU to align the triangle mark on the CPU with the upper right corner of the
socket if the front of the computer is facing your body. Make sure the alignment is exact
to avoid damaging pins on the CPU.
