Removing the front panel
You need to remove the front panel in order to remove the following components:
• Control Panel buttons
•Jewel
•Reset and power switches and cables
•Speaker
• UIB (user interface board)
• UIB cable
•DVD drive
•Motherboard (To remove the motherboard, you need to slide the DVD drive a few
inches out the front of the chassis.)
NOTE: You do not need to remove the front panel in order to remove the HDD, power
supply, DIMM(s), copier interface board, fan, battery, HDD and DVD drive ribbon
cables, or CPU and CPU cooling assembly.
