DVD drive
TO REPLACE THE DVD DRIVE
1. If you are installing a new DVD drive, remove the guide rails from the old DVD drive and
install them on the new drive.

2. Align the DVD drive with its slot in the front of the chassis (see Figure 4-29 on
page 4-52).
3. Slide the DVD drive into the chassis until the latches click into place.
Make sure not to damage the EMI gasket around the DVD enclosure.
4. Connect the DVD drive ribbon cable to the DVD drive.
5. Connect the 4-pin power supply cable to the DVD drive.
The connectors are keyed to fit only one way.
6. Replace the front panel (see page 4-10).
7. Reassemble the ColorPASS (see page 4-14) and verify its functionality (page 4-16).
