Using eFax
Because it lets you receive faxes through your e-mail, eFax does
away with the need for a dedicated phone line for your faxes.
You don’t have to worry about missing faxes when your
computer is off or when you’re connected to the Internet. Your
friends and associates send you faxes by dialing your eFax
number on their fax machines, just as if you had a fax machine.
And if you want to send faxes as well as receive them, you can
sign up for eFax Plus.
1. Insert the EPSON Stylus Scan 2000 CD-ROM in your
drive.
2. If you’re using Windows, double-click

3. Double-click the
EPSON SS2000
CD-ROM icon.
4. Open the eFax folder and double-click
faxoffer.exe
(Windows) or
Free Fax Offer
(Macintosh). The
MicroViewer opens and displays this offer:
5. Click
Signup Today
. Your browser opens and connects
you to the eFax.com website, where you can register for
eFax. In a few days, you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail
from eFax.com that includes your fax number and PIN.

To use eFax, you need
an active e-mail
account, and you need
to be able to receive
e-mail from outside your
domain.
