4. At the DOS C:\ prompt, type the following commands to
extract the system software file to your PC’s hard disk:

5. At the DOS C:\QMSSYS prompt, type the following

QMSSYS directory:

6. Start PS Exec.
7. Choose Download System Code from the PS Exec File menu.
The Download System Code dialog box appears.
8. In the Download System Code dialog box, find and select
SYSTEM.DL.
9. Choose the Send button to start the download.
When downloading is complete, IDLE appears on the
printer’s message window.
10. When the software has finished installing, turn the printer off
and on again to activate the new code.
11. At the DOS C:\QMSSYS prompt, type the following
command to delete the SYSTEM.DL file from the QMSSYS
directory:
del *.dl↵
