Using the Program Key
Enhanced Utilities 6 - 3
Outline of Major Features
Dial Registration
1.ONE TOUCH DIAL
Register the most frequently dialed fax numbers in the 27 One-Touch keys.
2.SPEED DIAL
You can program 100 speed dial locations, then transmit your documents quickly and easily by
pressing the Speed-Dial key with a Speed-Dial number.
3.GROUP DIAL
Destinations registered in One-Touch Dial keys, Speed Dial keys and the Phone Book can be
registered together as a Group in a Group Dial key. This feature then allows you to transmit a
document to all destinations in one group with a single operation. If you frequently send the same
document to multiple destinations, register these destinations into a Group Dial key. Up to 27
Groups can be registered.
4.PROGRAM DIAL
Several transmission functions can be pre-programmed in some of the One-Touch keys. This
allows a multiple step operation to be registered in a single key. For example, a single key can be
set up to Broadcast to designated locations at a preset time. This reduces the time necessary for
jobs that are frequently repeated.
5.BATCH TX
One Touch Dial key can be pre-programmed with Batch TX time. This allows multi jobs to be
transmitting at the same time by one transmission.
TX Operation
4. CLOSED NETWORK
Limits the parties to which you can transmit a document to only those registered for One Touch
Dial, Speed Dial, and Phone Book. When this feature is turned ON, you can no longer transmit a
document to any party that has not been registered for One Touch Dial, Speed Dial, or Phone
Book. This provides a means of controlling machine communication.
6. HEADER
Sends the receiving destination your name, fax number, and other data for a document transmitted.
This information is printed at the top of each page. This lets the receiving party identify where the
document came from, when it came in and how many pages it was.
RX Operation
1. MEMORY RX MODE
Stores the contents of a received document into memory. The document is not printed unless the
machine receives a print command that may be a timer or password. The timer print command
causes the machine to start printing the document stored in memory when the specified time
arrives. The password print command, on the other hand, causes the machine to start printing when
