• Case 4 – Switched 56 Backup for DSU operating
at 56 kbps or less (Figure 4-14). The Switched 56
DBM provides full backup of point-to-point single
port and TDM circuits operating at 56 kbps. If the
DDS circuit is operating at less than 56 kbps, rate
adaption is used to match the DDS speed.
