Maintaining the Product
Cleaning the Document Glass and Cover
Keeping the document glass clean helps ensure the best
possible copies. It is recommended that you clean the
document glass at the start of each day and during the day as
needed.
The Constant Velocity Transport (CVT) glass is the strip of
glass located to the left of the document glass and is used to
scan originals fed through the document feeder. The CVT
glass also requires cleaning.
Control Panel and LCD Display
Regular cleaning keeps the Control Panel and LCD Display
free from dust and dirt. To remove finger prints and smudges,
clean the control panel and LCD screen with a soft, lint-free
cloth, lightly dampened with water.
Document Feeder and Output Tray
Use a cloth moistened with water to clean the Document
Feeder, Output Tray, Paper Cassette and the outside areas of
the WorkCentre Pro 412.
Slightly dampen a soft lint-
free cloth or paper towel with
water.
Open the document cover.
Wipe the surface of the
document glass and CVT
glass until they are clean and
dry.
Wipe the underside of the
white document cover until it
is clean and dry.
Close the document cover.
