Setting Your Product to Send Toner Low
Information
If you set the Notify Toner menu option to ON, when the toner
cartridge needs to be replaced, your machine automatically
sends a fax to your service company or the dealer to notify
them that your machine requires a new toner cartridge. This
feature will be activated only when the phone number of the
service company or the dealer is stored in your machines
memory.
Use the instructions below to activate this process.
Press [Menu/Exit] on the control panel, then press or
until MAINTENANCE appears, and press [Select].
Press or until you find NOTIFY TONER, then
press [Select].
Press or to turn this feature ON or OFF, then
press [Select].
Enter the customer ID or name (up to 20 digits) then press
[Select].
Enter the customers fax number, then press [Select].
Enter the service fax number to which your product sends
the Notification fax message, then press [Select].
Enter the serial number of your product, then press [Select].
NOTE: The product serial number is located on the machine,
behind the front door. Refer to Chapter 1 - About this Guide,
page 1-4 for further information.
