CHAPTER 4 INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
I. INSTALLATION
This machine is installed by the user.
The user should be advised to install the
scanner by reading the Setup Guide
thoroughly. This section gives an overview of
the procedure. For details, refer to the user
manual.
1. System Requirements
The recommended system is as follows.
1) Computer
CPU: Intel Core 2-Duo 1.66GHz or higher
Memory: 1GB or more
Hard disk: 3GB or more space
(For all software)
USB interface: Hi-speed USB 2.0
Monitor: Resolution 1024 x 768 (XGA) or
higher
Optical drive: Able to read DVDs

Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows XP x64 Edition
Microsoft Windows Vista
(32/64 bit edition)
Microsoft Windows 7 (32/64 bit edition)
