Command: clear log

show log
Purpose Used to display the switch history log.
Syntax
show log {index <value>}
Description This command will display the contents of the switch’s history log.
Parameters
index <value> This command will display the history log, beginning
at 1 and ending at the value specified by the user in the <value> field.
If no parameter is specified, all history log entries will be displayed.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display the switch history log:
DES-3550:4#show log index 5
Command: show log index 5

Purpose Used to enable the system log to be sent to a remote host.
Syntax
enable syslog
Description

enable syslog
command enables the system log to be sent to a
remote host.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
