Options for users of Mac OS 9.x (using LaserWriter 8.7 or higher)
Enable the TBCP Filter software, as follows:
• Make sure the Elite 21 printer is set as the default printer for the Mac.
• From the Desktop, go to File and Print Desktop.
• Click on the General pull-down menu and pull down to Plug-In
Preferences.
• The window pictured below should open. Click on the box next to “Print
Time Filters.” Click on the triangle icon next to “Print Time Filters” to show
the item(s) below it.
• Click on the box next to “TBCP” to enable the filter.
• Click on “Save Settings” to save the settings for the printer.
This setting will allow binary data to be properly handled by USB or LPR
protocols on the Mac.
