Operating States
Online – The printer is online when power is On (|), the power-on
tests complete, and the printer is able to communicate with the
computer. For the Models 102, 1I1, and 4I3, the Online indicator is
On.
Offline – The printer is offline whenever power-on tests are running
or whenever the printer is in test mode (Operator Print Tests). For
the Models 102, 1I1, and 4I3, the Online indicator is Off.
Ready and Not Ready
Ready – The printer is ready when you press Start and there are no
error conditions. The printer can be ready and online or offline.
Ready is indicated when the Ready indicator is On. See “Ready
Indicator” on page 3-12 for more information.
The printer displays
unless an information message overrides ready or the printer is
offline.
Not Ready – The printer is not ready when you press Stop or when
an error or operator intervention condition occurs. The printer can be
not ready and online or offline.
