7-80 Switching Commands
save config
This command permanently saves configuration changes to Non-Volatile Random Access
Memory (NVRAM).
Format save config
logout
This command closes the current telnet connection or resets the current serial connection.
Note: Save configuration changes before logging out. See “save config” .

transfer upload mode
This command specifies whether XMODEM or TFTP mode is used when uploading from the
switch.
Default xmodem. This is valid only when the transfer is initiated by the
serial EIA 232 port.
Format transfer upload mode <xmodem|tftp>
transfer upload serverip
This command sets the IP address of the server on which the file is located.
Note: This command is valid only when the transfer mode is TFTP. See “transfer upload mode” .
Default 0.0.0.0
Format transfer upload serverip <ipaddr>
transfer upload path
This command sets the directory path used to upload the file. The switch “remembers” the last file
path used.
Note: This command is valid only when the transfer mode is TFTP. See “transfer upload mode” .
7000 Series L3 Managed Switch Software supports TFTP client. The TFTP client path statement
requirement is sever dependent. A path statement is generally required to setup the TFTP client;
however, the client path may remain blank.
