Parameter 2 = (Aux Mute Prefix character) This feature is used to define a DTMF prefix character that
will mute the DTMF audio going out the auxiliary port. In other words, if the first
character of a command matches, that character and all following characters will be muted
from being sent out the auxiliary port. If the first character does not match, that character
and all following characters will not be muted out the auxiliary. You may still use
S-Command 18 as a master enable for any muting to the auxiliary port. This prefix
function does not affect muting to any other ports. This feature is used to allow commands
to a distant controller to pass over a link but still mute those commands on the local
repeater. All distant site prefixes should start with this character; so all link commands are
muted on the local repeater.
Data 0 = Disable this function, 1-9 = DTMF characters, 10 = DTMF “A”,
11 = DTMF “B”, 12 = DTMF “C”, 13 = DTMF “D”, 14 = DTMF “*”,
15 = DTMF “#”, 16 = DTMF “0”
Parameter 3 = (Command Timer) Used to define the command timer. Once a prefix command has been
decoded, this timer is started. If this timer times out, then additional commands are not
allowed. The timer is also reset if at any time a user command is reported to be in error, or
the user un-keys after the first command is send.
Data = 25(2.5 seconds) to 255 (25.5 seconds)
Parameter 4 = (Pre-Access tone) Once a valid prefix command is decoded, the controller will respond
with a “Pre-access Tone”. The pre-access tone informs the user that the selected controller
is ready to accept user commands. The default access tone is configured to sound like a
telephone dial tone. This tone is user programmable.
Data = Four sets of 3-digit numbers that define the tone, modulation and timing for the
Pre-Access tone. These values are listed in this user manual under tone generator
commands (S-Command 31). Valid range for each set of data = 010 – 028, 033 –
114 and 271 – 344.
Parameter 5 = (Busy Tone) The controller will respond with a “Busy Tone” if the controller is in Lockout
Mode (S-Command 03 mode 1) after a valid prefix command is decoded, the busy tone
informs the user that the controller is not ready nor able to accept user commands. The
default busy tone is configured to sound like a telephone busy tone. This tone is user
programmable.
Data = Four sets of 3-digit numbers that define the tone, modulation and timing for the
Busy Tone. These values are listed in this user manual under tone generator
commands (S-Command 31). Valid range for each set of data = 000, 010 – 028,
033 – 114 and 272 – 344.
DEFAULT: Parameter 0 = 0, (Disable function)
Parameter 1 = no prefix (Disable function)
Parameter 2 = 0 (no mute character)
Parameter 3 = 80 (8.0 seconds)
Parameter 4 = 026 079 272 000 (Dial tone at TG level 15 until timer expires)
Parameter 5 = 028 079 293 329 (Busy tone at TG level 15 with a 1 second on and 1 second off rate)
EXAMPLE: 03 1 #3D Control prefix for this controller is “#3D”
03 1 * Control prefix for this controller is “*”
