S-Cmd 18 DTMF MUTE CONTROL
This command is used to enable and disable the DTMF mute function for the repeater, auxiliary output and telephone output
audio. Each of these items can be individually controlled. Mute items 4 through 11 are used to mute incoming audio from the
auxiliary buss when a controller that is attached to the buss, decodes DTMF.
SYNTAX: 18 [Mute] [Mode]
READ BACK: 18 [Mute]
STORAGE: RAM/EEPROM
PARAMETERS: Mute 00 = All items, 01 = Repeater, 02 = Auxiliary out, 03 = Telephone out,
04 through 11 = Auxiliary inputs 1 through 8 Responds to DTMF decode on an auxiliary
controller
Mode 0 = Off, 1 = On
DEFAULT: All mute items are 1 (On)
EXAMPLE: 18 03 0 Turns off DTMF mute function in order to let DTMF tones pass through to the telephone
company.
18 05 1 Mutes incoming audio from auxiliary input #2 when a DTMF digit is decoded from auxiliary #2.
S-Cmd 19 GENERATE DTMF TONES
This command is used to regenerate a received DTMF string on the repeater transmitter. The data source for this command can
come from decoded DTMF digits or data within a macro. The controller regenerates DTMF tones with 150 ms tone ON time
and 80 ms spacing. Valid DTMF digits are 0 through 9, A, B, C, D, *, #. (If a DTMF digit is used as an alternate command
terminator, that digit may not be used as data in this command). The DTMF regenerate buffer has a maximum length of 34
DTMF digits. This command can also be used in a macro to generate a DTMF string upon a user command.
SYNTAX: 19 [Location] [Data]
READ BACK: 19 0 [Data]
STORAGE: N/A
PARAMETERS: Location 0 =
Speech Read back:
Convert the decoded DTMF and read back each character in speech.
Location 1 =
Repeater:
Send a DTMF string to the repeater’s transmitter.
Location 2 =
Auxiliary:
Send a DTMF string to the auxiliary buss.
Location 3 =
Telephone:
Send a DTMF string to the telephone.
Data = DTMF characters 0 through 9, A, B, C, D, *, #. (C and D are not allowed in macros)
DEFAULT: N/A
EXAMPLE: 19 1 1234567890*# Resends DTMF digits 1234567890*# on repeater transmitter
19 0 1234567890ABCD*# Read back DTMF digits in speech
