S-Cmd 53 TELEPHONE HYBRID ADJUSTMENT
The RI-300 uses a digital potentiometer to adjust the telephone hybrid circuit. In most cases, the auto setting will work fine. In
auto, the microprocessor will balance the hybrid during each outgoing telephone call in which the off-hook command and
telephone number have been combined as a single command. In some telephone connections where the controller is having
trouble balancing the hybrid, you can manually balance the hybrid. The easiest method is to use the programming software to
adjust the hybrid potentiometer during a full duplex telephone call. Once you are done, you can save the setting. If the
programming software is not available, you can use this command to balance the hybrid. You may have to make multiple
telephone calls while making small changes to the hybrid setting until you achieve the best results. Do not expect a perfect null;
expect some repeat audio to pass through.

S-Cmd 54 SET KEY-CODE FOR USER COMMANDS
The key-code is a 1 to 4-digit sequence that would be required in front of all user commands. This function could be used as a
site prefix so that all of your repeater sites would have the same user command suffix, while each site would have a distinctive
prefix. If zero key-code digits are entered in this command, the key-code function is disabled. Because an absent of a digit is a
valid command and this command information is sensitive, you cannot read back the command data. “C” is the only digit that
cannot be used in the key-code.

S-Cmd 55 PASSWORD FOR S-COMMAND ACCESS
The PASSWORD is used to unlock the controller for access to the S-Commands. The factory default password is 123456 and
can be changed to another set of digits from 1 to 6 digits long. “C” is the only digit that cannot be used in the password. When
selecting a password, you should avoid using one that is similar to a user command or the exact equivalent to an S-Command
and its data. For more information on passwords, see section 11 of this manual.
