Note:
L To receive fax documents using the
extension telephone, make sure remote fax
activation is turned ON (feature #41 on page
77) beforehand. The default setting is ON.
4.6 Receiving a fax

4.6.1 Activating TAM/FAX mode
(Telephone Answering
Machine/Fax mode)
1 Make sure feature #77 is set to “TAM/FAX”
(page 80) beforehand.
2 Press {AUTO ANSWER} repeatedly to
display the following.
TAM/FAX MODE
3 RINGS
L The unit announces “Answer set” and the
current day and time.
L The unit will announce the remaining
recording time if it is less than 3 minutes.
L The display will show the ring setting in
TAM/FAX mode. If you wish to change it,
press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display
the desired setting, and press {SET}.
L The {AUTO ANSWER} indicator turns
ON.
L If “GREETING ONLY” is displayed, the
unit will not record any incoming
messages (feature #10 on page 75, or
page 84).
L The remaining time for recording
messages will be displayed.
