Special Function Control Code Change
Purpose Changes the current Special Function Control Code (SFCC).
Mode NORMAL or EXECUTE

(cc) The current Special Function Control Code.
SFCC; Specifies the Special Function Control Code
change command. Enter SFCC; (the semicolon is
required.)

Represents the ASCII decimal numeric value for
the new SFCC. Replace
n
with a decimal value
between 0 and 255.

’ Represents the hexidecimal value for a printable
character as the new SFCC. Replace ‘
n
’ with a
hexidecimal value between 20 and 7F. If
representing the new SFCC in hexidecimal, it must
be enclosed in single quotes.
Comments When the SFCC is changed using the SFCC command, the
change is effective immediately and the old SFCC is no longer
recognized.
When printer power is turned off and on, the SFCC returns to the
configuration default. The configuration default SFCC can also be
re-selected by sending the command: (cc)SFCC;‘ ’
Example The following example, using both the ASCII and hexadecimal
values, changes the SFCC from the tilde (~) to the caret (^).
