User’s Guide for ImageCard® Select™ and UltraGrafix® Select™ Printers
The printer driver can be installed with the Microsoft Windows 95 operat-
ing system. Datacard highly recommends that you use Windows 98 Sec-
ond Edition (SE) or Millennium Edition (Me) with the printer driver to
avoid unexpected results.
User information installed successfully. Make sure that you install the
printer driver using the Detect New Hardware wizard.
You cannot cancel this installation. Please complete installation and
then see the User’s Guide for steps to remove the printer driver.
Possible Cause Action
You are installing the printer driver on
a PC running the Windows 95
operating system.
The installation program permits
installation on Windows 95. However,
the printer and driver were not tested
with this operating system. Install and
run the printer at your risk.
If you experience problems that you
cannot correct, consider upgrading
the PC’s operating system to
Windows 98 SE or Me.
Possible Cause Action
You have run the custom
(InstallShield) installation on Windows
2000.
On Windows 2000, installation is a
two-part process:
The custom installation is required to
install the e-Guide and desktop icons
(setup.exe on the CD-ROM).
The Detect New Hardware wizard
installs the driver files.
These steps can be performed in any
order.
Possible Cause Action
You have clicked the Cancel button
when the custom installation program
was installing information and links.
Driver installation is complete:
information and links will be installed.
To remove the printer driver, go to the
Add/Remove programs dialog box or
see the e-Guide.
