Possible Cause Action
You can select the default printer
when two or more printers are
installed on a PC. Usually, the default
printer is the most frequently used
printer.
If this is the first printer installed on
the PC, it will be the default printer
(your answer to this question will not
affect this).
If more than one printer is installed to
this PC, you can choose to make this
printer the default or use another
printer as the default.
Possible Cause Action
An unknown error has occurred. Windows issued an error, which is
recorded in the log file. The log file is
located in the “DatacardInstall” folder
in the root directory for your operating
system.
You can run the cleanup utility,
located on the driver CD.
Possible Cause Action
A printer of the same class (such as
Select) with the same version (such
as 3.0 or 3.1) is installed on the PC.
Change the name of the printer you
are installing and continue with
installation.
Possible Cause Action
Installation attempted to install a
shortcut for the printer’s Status
Monitor in the Windows Startup
group.
Create a shortcut in the startup group
for the Status Monitor (DsStat.exe). If
you are not comfortable creating a
shortcut, remove, the printer driver,
run the Cleanup utility, and reinstall
the printer driver.
