INCREASING BATTERY LIFE
To increase battery life:
1. Power your notebook through the AC or
opti onal auto / a i rline ad a pter wh en ever po s s i bl e .
2. If your notebook is running on battery power
all day, connect it to the AC adapter
overnight to recharge the battery.
3. Keep brightness to the lowest
level comfortable.
4. Keep the volume level as low as possible for
comfortable operation.
5. Set the power management for the maximum
Power Savings profile of the PowerPanel set-
tings or set an even longer life combination
with the BIOS setup utility. (See pages 43-47
and 87-91 for instruction on these settings.)
6. Put your notebook in Suspend mode when it
is turned on and you are not actually using it.
7.Limit your CD-ROM access.
8. Disable the Windows 95 CD automatic
insertion function. (See pages 25-26.)
9. Always use fully charged batteries.
CARING FOR YOUR BATTERIES
If your notebook is to be stored for a month or
longer, turn the machine off and remove all
Lithium ion batteries.Store your notebook
and batteries separately in a cool,dry location.
If you store your notebook with a battery
installed,the battery will discharge,and battery
life will be reduced. In addition,a faulty battery
might damage your notebook.
