easier to open.Lift the display panel backward
until the screen is at a comfortable viewing
angle. (Figure 2-1.)
Adjusting the Display Panel
When you turn on your notebook, you may
want to adjust the brightness level of the screen
for best visibility. To do this, adjust the bright-
ness control slider at the right side of the
display panel. (Figure 2-2.) You may need to
adjust the brightness periodically for different
operating environments.
P O I N T
The higher the brightness level, the more
power the notebook will consume and
the faster your batteries will discharge.
For maximum battery life, make sure that
the brightness is set as low as possible
(control all the way to the bottom).
