Setting the time code
(T SET)
When performing 1ST EDIT by setting the
initial value of the time code

Align the cursor with setup menu item No.377 (1ST
EDIT TC).

Press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button.

Use the numeric input buttons to input the desired
time code value.

Press the ENTER button.

Align the cursor with setup menu item No.378 (1ST
EDIT UB).

Press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button.

Use the numeric input buttons to input the desired
user’s bit value.

Press the ENTER button.
When recording a time code whose initial
value has been set during assemble
editing or time code insert editing (VTR2
only)
This can be done with open-ended editing where the
editing is performed without the OUT point having
been set.

Select “SW” as the setup menu item No.504
(REGEN MODE) setting.

Set the TC generator switch of VTR2 to R-RUN or
F-RUN.

Press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button.

Use the numeric input buttons to input the initial
value of the time code to be recorded.

Press the ENTER button.

Set only the IN point, and proceed with the
assemble editing or time code insert editing.

Operation will not be performed properly if the OUT
point is set.
O
When a setting other than “SW” (such as “AS&IN,”
“ASSEM” or “INSRT”) is selected for setup menu
item No.504 (REGEN MODE), the time code will be
recorded in the REGEN (regeneration) mode during
an editing operation which has been set using
setup menu item No.504 regardless of the position
of the TC generator switch of VTR2.

To input letters A through F, press the SHIFT button
and one of the following number buttons.
