CHAPTER 5: ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS
Administrative functions enable System Administrators to control the computers connected to the
Paragon system and how users access devices. These functions can be performed from a set of
Administration Menus.
Administration
The Administration Menu

is used for setting security classes, maintaining user names and
privileges, and managing the system configuration, which enables the administrator to control user
access to Paragon and all connected devices.
1. Login to the system as “admin” (or your user name if you have administrator privileges).
2. When the Selection Menu appears, press <F5> to display the Administration Menu, which lists
submenu options.
Note: The default password for the login “admin” is raritan (all lowercase).

3. Use the <Ç> and <È> keys or the numbers 1 through 5 to highlight the desired submenu, and
press <Enter> to select it.

Administrative User IDs that have the group ID “00” have complete access to all submenus. Other administrative users have
limited access in that they cannot select the top two submenus.
