About Receive Mode
Your FaxCentre has three reception modes:
Ø In FAX mode, the FaxCentre answers an incoming call and
immediately goes into fax receive mode.
Ø In TEL mode, you can receive a fax by pressing [Manual
Dial] when the ringer sounds and then pressing [Start] on
the control panel of your FaxCentre when you hear the fax
sounds.
Ø In ANS/FAX mode, the answering machine answers an
incoming call, and the caller can leave a message on the
answering machine. If the fax machine senses a fax tone on
the line, the call automatically switches to Fax mode.
NOTE: To use the ANS/FAX mode, attach an answering
machine to the EXT jack on the back of your FaxCentre.
The current receive mode is displayed when the FaxCentre is
in Standby mode.
If you seldom use the fax line for voice conversations, set your
FaxCentre to receive a fax automatically by selecting the FAX
mode.
