Sending a Fax using a Speed Number
Ø Feed the document(s) face down into the ADF.
Ø Adjust the document settings if necessary. For details, see
“Adjusting Document Settings” on page 5-5.
Ø Press [Speed Dial] on the control panel.
Ø Enter the speed dial number.
Ø When the desired number appears on the LCD display,
press [Enter]. The document scans into memory.
The fax number stored in the speed dial location will be
automatically dialled, then the document will be sent when the
remote fax machine answers.
Group Dialing
If you frequently send the same document to several
destinations, you can create a group of these destinations and
set them under a group dial location. This enables you to use
a single speed dialing to send the same document to all the
destinations in the group.
Setting Group Dial
Ø Press [Menu/Exit] and then repeatedly until ‘3:FAX
FEATURE’ appears on the display, then press [Enter].
Ø Press the or navigation keys repeatedly until
’GROUP DIAL’ is displayed on the lower line, then press
[Enter].
Ø Press [Enter] to access ’NEW’.
Ø Enter the desired group number using the speed dial
location numbers from 1 to 200, and press [Enter].
NOTE: If the number is already used for group dial, ’DELETE?
Gxxx: ID’ (where ’xxx’ designates the selected group dial
number) appears on the LCD display. Press [Enter] to delete
the contents in the selected number and continue, or [Menu/
Exit] to keep the old number and start over with a different
number.
