Priority Transmission
When the Priority Transmission is enabled, a high priority
document can be transmitted ahead of reserved operations.
The document is scanned into the memory, and transmitted
when the current operation is concluded. In addition, the
Priority Send will interrupt a broadcast operation between
stations (i.e., when transmission to station A ends, before
transmission to station B begins) or between redial attempts.
Ø Feed the document(s) face down into the ADF.
Ø Adjust the document settings if necessary. For details, see
“Adjusting Document Settings” on page 5-5.
Ø Press [Menu/Exit] and then repeatedly until ‘3:FAX
FEATURE’ appears on the display, then press [Enter].
Ø Press the or navigation keys repeatedly until
’
PRIORITY
TX’ is displayed on the lower line, then press
[Enter].
Ø Enter the number of the remote machine using the number
keypad.
To enter the number, you can also press a one-touch button,
or press [Speed Dial] and enter a speed dial number.
Ø Press [Enter] to confirm the number. The display asks you
to enter a name.
Ø If you want to assign a name to the transmission, enter the
name. If not, skip over this step.
For details on how to enter a name using the number
keypad, see “Entering Characters Using the Numeric
Keypad” on page 2-9.
Ø Press [Enter].
The document will be scanned into the memory before
transmission. The display shows the memory capacity and
the number of pages being stored in the memory.
Ø The FaxCentre shows the number being dialled and the
total pages of the document, and begins sending the
document.
