Receiving Automatically in ANS/FAX Mode
For this mode, you must attach an answering machine to the
EXT jack on the back of your FaxCentre.
Ø Press [Menu/Exit] and then repeatedly until ‘7:FAX
SETUP’ appears on the display, then press [Enter].
Ø Press the or navigation keys repeatedly until
’RECEIVE MODE’ is displayed on the lower line, then press
[Enter].
Ø Press the or navigation keys repeatedly until ’‘ANS/
FAX’ is displayed on the lower line, then press [Enter].
When you receive a call, the answering machine will answer.
If the caller leaves a message, the answering machine stores
the message as it would normally. If your FaxCentre hears a
fax tone on the line, it automatically starts to receive fax.
NOTE: If you have set your FaxCentre to ANS/FAX mode and
your answering machine is switched off, or no answering
machine is connected to your FaxCentre, your FaxCentre will
automatically go into FAX mode after a predefined number of
rings.
NOTE: If your answering machine has a ‘user-selectable ring
counter’, set the FaxCentre to answer incoming calls within 1
ring.
