All configuration option sequences take the following format on one line in
the file:
Option # - equals sign (=) - valid option parameter selection. For example:
To set infinite line length (Option #1), put this line in the file:
1=0
To select EBCDIC output (Option #10):
10=B
To disable Intervention Required (Option #26):
26=N
Valid option parameters will be one of the following, depending upon the
option:
A decimal numeric value (0-255)
A two-character hexadecimal value (00-FF)
The letter value of an option parameter (A- E)
A Y for YES or an N for NO (Y or N)
After the users selections are keyed on the screen, press the Print Screen
key (or device equivalent) on the alternate host. The ULTRA will interpret
each command and store the new selections in its non-volatile, battery-
backed RAM. This is a form of permanent storage that will hold the
selections even when the unit is powered off.
The command sequences will not be printed. They will affect only the
configuration of the ULTRA.
The user is advised to exercise care when entering configuration changes
from an alternate host. No error messages will be displayed if an entry is
invalid.
Resetting All Options to Factory Defaults
To reset all options to factory preset default values, send the following
command (a dollar sign) to the ULTRA, or the user may send a zero (0)
follwed by a semicolon (;):
$ or 0;
Note: This command will reset all General Configuration options, all
programmable function strings and all translate tables to their factory
presets. All modifications to any parameters will be lost.
