Allow EBCDIC Font Downloading
When the ULTRA sees (UDK/Esc)+A or (UDK/Esc)+F, a font download is
being processed. The (UDK) is the user-defined key. Please refer to the
Xerox printer programmer reference for further information on this escape
sequence.
If the users application requires this feature, and if the user would like to
use the printer in ASCII mode, this option should be set to Yes. Refer to
Option #62 in Section 5 Configuration Options.
Note: If the ULTRA is in EBCDIC output mode (see Option #10), Option
#62 must be set to No.
Metacode Support
Some Xerox printers are capable of accepting Metacode data. The Xerox
4235 is a Metacode-capable printer, for example. The data seen by the
ULTRA and the printer are identical when this type of data is detected.
Metacode data is triggered by a 35h in the data stream, immediately
followed by a count byte, then the data itself. The data is not translated in
this sequence. Additional information can be found in Section 11
Transparency Modes. Please refer to the Xerox printer programmer
reference for further information on this escape sequence.
Refer to Option #58 in Section 5 Configuration Options. Users with
applications that require a Metacode-capable printer should set this option
to Yes.
