Cleaning the Inside of the ScanSnap

z Brake roller (×2)
Remove the brake rollers from the ScanSnap to clean.
For details on how to remove the brake rollers, refer to "Replacing the Roller Set"
(page 445).
Gently wipe the dirt and dust off from along the slots on the surface of the brake
rollers. Be careful not to damage the surface of the rollers.
z Idler roller (×4)
Gently wipe the dirt and dust off the rollers as you rotate them manually. Be
careful not to damage the surface of the rollers. Make sure that they are cleaned
properly because residue on the roller will affect the feeding performance.
z Glass (×2)
Gently wipe the dirt and dust off the surface of the glass sections. Make sure that
it is cleaned properly because dirty glass can cause vertical lines to appear in the
scanned image.
z Pick roller (x2)
Gently wipe the dirt and dust off from along the slots on the surface of the roller as
you rotate it manually. Be careful not to damage the surface of the roller. Make
sure that it is cleaned properly because residue on the roller will affect the feeding
performance.
