Parallel port
A Centronics compatible parallel port enables connection of a printer or other parallel
device. The port supports Extended Capabilities Port (ECP) conforming to IEEE-
1284.
Video out
This video-out mini-jack enables transfer of NTSC or PAL data (video and right/left
audio) to external devices such as a TV.
Internal LAN (BTO)
The computer can be equipped with LAN circuits on a built-to-order basis. The LAN
functions support Ethernet LAN (10 megabits per second, 10BASE-T) and Fast
Ethernet LAN (100 mega bits per second, 100 BASE-Tx). It also supports Wakeup
on LAN (WOL) and Magic Packet.
Internal modem
The internal modem is equipped as a modem daughter card (MDC).
The internal modem provides capability for data and fax communication and supports
ITU-T V.90. For data reception it operates at 56,000bps and for data transmission it
operates at 33,600bps. For fax transmission it operates at 14,400bps. The speed of
data transfer and fax depends on analog telephone line conditions. It has an RJ11
modem jack for connecting to a telephone line.
Wireless LAN (BTO)
Some models of the computer come with a wireless LAN Mini PCI Card. The
computer has two antennas in the display panel to send and receive the radio wave for
the wireless LAN.
Bluetooth
The computer comes with a Bluetooth module that supports Bluetooth wireless
technology, which enables wireless connection to compatible devices.
Infrared Port
The infrared port is compatible with Fast InfraRed (FIR) standards enabling wireless
4Mbps data transfer with Infrared Data Association (IrDA) 1.1 compatible devices.
Internet button
This button launches an Internet browser. When the computer is powered off, this
button automatically boots up the system and launches an Internet browser.
