Basic operation
This chapter provides you with basic operating instructions when manually
programming the XMP 2600 power supply system. Before reading this chapter you
need to familiarize yourself with the description of the front panel and the first
operation steps that were presented in the previous chapters.
A quick reference guide is supplied with the unit to help you with
the basic operations.
Programming power module parameters
This section describes, in general terms, the procedures for programming power
module parameters:
Selecting the parameter to program.
Setting voltage / current values.
Selecting values for other parameters.
Selecting a
parameter to
program
There are two ways to select a parameter to program:
Select a parameter in status mode and press the
SET key to enter
programming mode.
While in programming mode, browse through available parameters.
Selecting a parameter in status mode
When entering programming mode, the parameter that appears on the display, ready
to be programmed, depends on the parameter that was shown in status mode – just
before the SET key was pressed.
The table below summarizes the relation between the parameter shown in status
mode and the parameter that opens for programming when the SET key is pressed:
