Measures workflow
Measures are powerful tools with many uses. A Measure can be used to calculate a
distancebetweenobjects, display this information ona page, orto resize anobject based
on a known real dimension.
When you create a Measure by using the 3D Objects pane, the Measure's properties
appear in the Properties pane.
Follow these procedures to create and manipulate a Measure:
1.
Click the + button in the top right-hand corner of the 3D Objects pane.
2.
Select New Measure from the drop-down menu.
3. Enter a name for the Measure.
4. Click on the target icon next to First object to pick the first point.
Clicking onand draggingan objectin the3D view changes itsposition.
Position can also be adjusted manually by entering the coordinates in
First Position (M) fields.
5. Click on the target icon next to Second object to pick the second point.
Clicking onanobject inthe 3Dviewcauses themeasurement toappear
automatically between the two objects in the 3D view. Moving one of
the two objects also moves the Measure and changes its Distance
property.
6. Click on the Color picker iconto modify the color ofthe measurement.
7. Click on X/Y/Z Decompose to decompose the Measure on the X, Y,
and Z axes.
8. Click on the Detach icon to detach a Measure.
9. Press delete when a Measure is selected to delete the Measure.

Displays
Once you have created your displays (either manually or by using the Projection Study
Wizard), you can make adjustments to your displays byusing the Displays pane,which
can be accessed in the Projection Study layout or from the Window tab on the menu
bar at the top of the screen. Once you have created your displays (either manually or
