Graphing methods
The HP Prime gives you the option of choosing one of three
graphing methods. The methods are described below, with each
applied to the function f(x) =9*sin(e
x
).
• adaptive: this gives very
accurate results and is used
by default. With this method
active, some complex
functions may take a while
to plot. In these cases,
appears on the
menu bar, enabling you to
stop the plotting process if you wish.
• fixed-step segments: this
method samples x-values,
computes their
corresponding y-values, and
then plots and connects the
points.
• fixed-step dots: this works
like fixed-step segments
method but does not
connect the points.

Sets the graphing method to adaptive,
fixed-step segments, or fixed-step dots.
