The LEDs labeled Status LED in Figure 5 on page 12 and Figure 6 on page 12 indicate the
status of one of the four port parameters—speed, duplex mode, administrative status,
and Power over Ethernet (PoE) status. Use the mode button below the POE LED on the
far right side of the front panel to toggle the Status LED to show the different port
parameters. Youcan tell which port parameter is indicated by the Status LED by seeing
which port status mode LED (SPD, DX, EN, and POE) is lit. (See Figure 6 on page 12).
Table 6 on page 13 describes the Status LED.

On steadily—Portis administrativelyenabled.
Off—Port is administratively disabled.
Administrative status
Indicatesthe PoEstatus.The statusindicatorsfor network ports are:
Onsteadily—PoEisavailableontheport,adevicethatdrawspowerfromtheport
is connectedto the port, and the deviceis drawing powerfrom the port.
Blinking—PoEisavailableontheport,butnopowerisdrawnfromtheportbecause
of one of the following:
No devicethatdraws powerfromthe port is connected to the port.
Adevicethatdrawspowerfromtheportisconnectedtotheport,butthedevice
is not drawing any power from the port.
Off—PoE is not availableon the port.
PoEisnotavailableonuplinkports;therefore,theLEDforthoseportsisalwaysunlit.
PoEstatus
You can tell which port parameter is indicated by the Status LED on network ports and
uplink ports by issuing the operational mode command show chassis led.
