Chapter 4 Failure and Repair Analysis
4.8.07 Printer Error Log Recovery
This test retrieves the last error from NVRAM.
To run the test, follow this procedure.
1. Power
OFF
the printer.
2. Move the two pin jumper on connector J13 of the system board to the pin position shown below.
3. Power
ON
the printer.
4. The test will start.
5. To stop the test, power
OFF
the printer or unplug the printer.
6. Return the jumper to its original position after completing the test.
7. The last error appears as a series of flashes of the Power
ON
light.
If the Power
ON
light does not flash, there are no errors.
