3.15 CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Test
To execute the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Test, select 13 from the DIAGNOSTICS TEST
MENU, press Enter and follow the directions on the screen. The CD-ROM/DVD-ROM Test
contains subtests that test the modem functions. Move the highlight bar to the subtest you
want to execute and press Enter.
NOTE: For the subtest 01, 02 and 03, use the TOSHIBA CD-ROM TEST DISK
(ZA1217P01/P000204190) for CD-ROM and DVD-ROM TEST DISK TSD-1 for DVD-
ROM. For the subtest 04, use a music CD on the market.
Subtest 01 Sequential read
This subtest reads one-block (2K-byte) data from logical address 0 to the last
address in order and compare them.
Subtest 02 Read specified address
This subtest reads one-block data from the specified address.
Subtest 03 Read random address/data
This subtest reads one-block data from 200 random addresses.
Subtest 04 Playback music
This subtest replays a music CD. When the track (piece) number to replay is
asked, enter a track number.
Subtest 05 RW 1point W/R/C
This subtest writes, reads and compares data at one point on a CD-RW.
