Configuring RIP-1 packet zero field check
Follow these steps to configure RIP-1 packet zero field check:

Some fields in a RIP-1 packet must be 0, and they are known as must be zero field. For RIP-1, the
must be zero field is checked for incoming packets, and those RIP-1 packets with this field being
nonzero will not be processed.
Setting RIP-2 packet authentication mode
RIP-2 supports two authentication modes: simple authentication and message digest 5 (MD5)
authentication.
Simple authentication cannot provide complete security, because the authentication keys sent along
with packets that are not encrypted. Therefore, simple authentication cannot be applied where high
security is required.
Follow these steps to set RIP-2 packet authentication mode:
