As XRN fabric is mutually exclusive with VLAN-VPN, make sure that XRN fabric is disabled on the
switch before performing any of the configurations listed in the above table. For information about XRN
fabric, refer to XRN Fabric Configuration in this manual.
Enabling the VLAN-VPN Feature for a Port
Follow these steps to enable the VLAN-VPN feature for a port:

Enable the VLAN-VPN feature
on the port
vlan-vpn enable
Required
By default, the VLAN-VPN
feature is disabled on a port.
Configuring the TPID Value for VLAN-VPN Packets on a Port
For your device to correctly identify the VLAN tagged frames from the public network, make sure that
the TPID you will use is the same as that used on the peer device in the public network.
Follow these steps to configure the TPID for VLAN-VPN packets on a port:
