dialog box and their descriptions:

Field Description
EAP State Entry Access Protocol authentication status. Possible values are:
● Initialize
● Disconnected
● Connecting
● Authenticating
● Authenticated
● Aborting
● Held
● Force Auth
● Force Unauth
Backend Auth State The current status of the Backend Authentication state machine.
Possible values are:
● Request
● Response
● Success
● Fail
● Timeout
● Idle
● Initialize
Controlled Port
Status
The current value of the Controlled Port status. Possible values are:
● Authorized
● Unauthorized
Controlled Port
Control
The current status of the Controlled Port control. Possible values
are:
● Force Authorized
● Force Unauthorized
IEEE-802.1X Port
Mode
The 802.1x mode of operation. Possible values are:
● Port Based Authentication - used for a single-supplicant case.
This mode is backwards compatible to the previous 802.1x
application behavior.
● MAC Based Authentication - for cases where multiple
supplicants are connected per port. For more information,
refer to “Device Configuration - 802.1x Tab” on page 44
.
Initialize Forces initialization of the port. Checking the Initialize checkbox and
clicking Apply forces the port to be initialized immediately. This
checkbox is only active when IEEE-802.1x mode is enabled.
