Completing the installation
To complete the installation, you must reinstall the top cover, reinstall the bezel,
reconnect all cables that you disconnected, and, for certain options, run the
Configuration/Setup Utility program. Follow the instructions in this section.
Attention: For correct cooling and airflow, install the top cover before turning on
the server. Operating the server for extended periods of time (over 30
minutes) with the top cover removed might damage server components.
To complete the installation, you must reinstall the top cover, reinstall the media-bay
bezel, reconnect all the cables that you disconnected earlier and, for certain
options, run the Configuration/Setup Utility program. Follow the instructions in this
section.

Note: If you have just plugged the power cords of the server into an electrical
outlet, you will have to wait approximately 20 seconds before pressing the
power-control button.

To install the server top cover:
1. Before installing the cover, check that all cables, adapters, and other
components are installed and seated correctly and that you have not left loose
tools or parts inside the server.
2. Place the cover-release latch in the open (up) position.
3. Insert the bottom tabs of the top cover in the matching slots in the server
chassis.
4. Close the cover-release latch to pull the top cover forward and lock the top
cover in place.
5. If you disconnected any cables from the back of the server, reconnect the
cables; then, plug the power cords into properly grounded electrical outlets.
